Pray With Us During Domestic Violence Awareness Month

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

—Philippians 4:6-7 NLT

When women come to Shepherd’s Gate after suffering the trauma of domestic violence, they need many things: safety, encouragement, food and clothing, counseling, Bible study, and life skills classes.

We aim to give them every tool we possibly can to heal and build new lives free from the pain of the past.

But it also takes something more: prayer. We believe that prayer moves the hand of God in the lives of these precious families — that it brings real miracles of provision and victory to women and children that have suffered so much in their lives.

During the month of October, we would both love if you would commit to pray for our women during your regular prayer time. Perhaps you might pick a day of the week to pray for victims of domestic violence, or maybe you pray for our families every morning! However you choose to remember these wonderful people in prayer, we know that it will make a difference in their lives as they strive to embrace Jesus and the true healing that only He can give.

Thank you for caring so deeply about our residents and families!
