The Life Center will one day be the heart of Shepherd's Gate's Campus as it houses some vital components for our program.
Once completed, the Life Center will contain our much needed childcare center that will meet the needs of our resident's children, as well as those needy families in our community that cannot afford childcare. It will serve up to 50 at-risk children at a time by providing them with a place to receive counseling, after-school tutoring, mentoring, and structured preschool program for the younger children. The Life Center will be essential in the expansion of our children's program.
The Life Center will also house a library, a 200-seat auditorium for group training, classrooms for job and life skills training and parenting courses, a computer based training center, a recreation room, as well as counseling rooms for groups and individuals. The basement of the Life Center is complete, while 1.6 million dollars is needed to open the doors. Shepherd's Gate is eagerly anticipating the completion and implementation of our programs in the Life Center.
