We have been so blessed for the past 2 years to have Vernon Hills serve as our Director of Development! His years of experience with a rescue mission in the Bay Area helped prepare him for his vital role here at Shepherd’s Gate.
Vernon is driven by a huge heart to help children in need. He saw the growing population of women and children struggling to survive abuse, homelessness and drug addiction, and felt called by God to reach out and make a difference.
He is convinced the most holistic way to truly help children have a strong future is to help their mothers find refuge and restoration.
Vernon is proud of the over 11,000 once-shattered lives that have been impacted by Shepherd’s Gate, and that 89% of women who graduate their comprehensive recovery program don’t return to the homelessness, abuse or addiction they left behind!
Shepherd’s Gate has maintained high integrity in their stewardship of funds, and Vernon is committed to this pursuit.
